Accommodations
All events will take place at the Flamingo Resort Hotel.
The convention room rate at the Flamingo is $125 single or double occupancy, plus tax. For reservations, call 800-848-8300/707-545-8530 or visit flamingoresort.com (code Westar). Be sure to specify that you are coming for the Westar meeting in order to receive the group rate. A block of rooms will be held for Westar until Monday, September 14, at which time they will be released for sale to the general public. Book early to ensure a room.
Travel
By air
Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air offer flights from Portland, Seattle, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles to the Charles M. Schultz-Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa (STS). A shuttle from the airport to the Flamingo may be available. Check Westar’s website or call Westar or the Flamingo Hotel for up-to-date information.
Santa Rosa is also served by San Francisco (SFO) and Oakland (OAK) airports. The Airport Express provides service from SFO and OAK to Santa Rosa. Travel time is about two hours. The fare is currently $32 one-way with a $2 discount for seniors (62+), military, and students. From the Santa Rosa drop-off, passengers must take a taxi to the Flamingo Hotel.
Buses depart San Francisco airport approximately every 60 to 90 minutes from 5:15 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Airport buses pickup at the blue pillars at the center island outside the baggage claim area. Buses depart Oakland airport on the hour, every second hour from 6 a.m. to midnight.

By car
The Flamingo Hotel is located at the corner of 4th Street and Farmers Lane in Santa Rosa, approximately 55 miles north of San Francisco.
• Take Hwy 101 North to Santa Rosa
• Exit Hwy 12 (East toward Sonoma)
• Stay on Hwy 12 (which joins Farmers Lane) to 4th Street
Seminar Papers
The Seminar Papers are the basis for the discussions on Friday and Saturday. They will not be presented orally at the event. Persons wishing to follow the discussions should read the papers in advance. The cost of Seminar Papers is included in the full registration fees. Papers will be distributed by email or regular mail in mid-September. Additional copies of the papers will be on sale at the meeting at a cost of $25 each.
Refunds
Refunds are available if requested in writing by September 16 minus a $40 administrative fee. No refunds will be given after that date.
