Accommodations
All events will be held at the Salem Conference Center in Salem Oregon. The Salem Conference Center offers the best of the Northwest in cuisine, wine and accommodations and is conveniently located in downtown Salem, within easy walking distance of fine dining and shopping and the Willamette University campus and Oregon state capitol.

Accommodations will be at the Phoenix Grand Hotel adjacent to the Conference Center. The convention room rate at the Phoenix Grand is $119 plus tax for a deluxe king, single occupancy, and $129 plus tax, double occupancy. Suites are $139 plus tax, single occupancy, and $149 plus tax, double occupancy.

The room rate includes a complimentary breakfast buffet every morning from 6:30 to 10:00 a.m., as well as complimentary onsite parking and free wireless internet. Be sure to specify that you are coming for the “Westar” meeting in order to receive the group rate. A block of rooms will be held until Monday, February 18, at which time they will be released for sale to the general public. Make your reservation early to be assured of a room. The convention room rate will be honored after the release date but the hotel cannot guarantee the availability of rooms.

Transportation
    By air
Portland International Airport is 65 miles from Salem and is a full service airport with many different airlines. Check with your travel agent for the best price and time.

Transportation from the Airport is available on the HUT, $35 one way ($33 seniors over 55) and $64 round trip per person. Buses leave the airport every two hours, beginning at 4:45 a.m. through 12:45 a.m. The trip takes one hour and fifteen minutes. Complimentary shuttles to the Phoenix Grand will be available on request by calling Westar (1-503-375-5323) once you have boarded the shuttle.
    By train
The Amtrak Coastal Starlight and the Amtrak Cascades stops in Salem next door to the Willamette University campus and is a short cab drive from the hotel/conference center. For schedules, call or visit Amtrak: 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872- 7245) or www.amtrak.com.
    By car
From Portland airport: Take I-205 from the Portland airport to the I-5 interchange. Merge south on to I-5 towards Salem.

Traveling north or south on I-5:

• Exit at Mission/Hwy 22 (exit #253).
• Travel west towards downtown Salem on Mission to Liberty Street.

The Salem Conference Center is located at 200 Commercial Street SE, between Liberty and Commercial streets, just past the City Hall complex to the West.

Parking
    Attendees staying at the hotel
Parking is available under the hotel or across the street in the Liberty Parkade parking structure directly north of the hotel.
    Attendees not staying at the hotel
There is unlimited time parking across the street from the hotel in the Liberty Parkade and 2 blocks away in the Pringle Parkade. A map of the parking areas can be found at www.cityofsalem.net.
