Bronson Davis photoBronson C. Davis retired as Vice Chancellor for Advancement at Texas Christian University in 2004. He had previously served as Vice President for Alumni & Development at Tulane University as Executive Director of Development and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs at Vanderbilt University medical center. At Vanderbilt he also was Associate Executive Director of Development for Undergraduate Programs and Development Services, and Director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences and the Major Gifts Regional Campaign Coordinator. In 2003, he was the recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award from Region IV of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE)—the largest education association in the world. This is its highest honor. In addition, he traveled with a number of other professional colleagues in CASE to Africa to help universities there develop advancement programs.

Davis has published a number of articles during his career and spoken at countless conferences around the country. He has also served on community and nonprofit boards and commissions in every city he has lived. He has a B.A. degree from DePauw University, and M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the George Peabody College at Vanderbilt and served in the U.S. Army Security Agency in Ethiopia.
